Saint Laurent seeks a Sewing Machinist in Angers — skilled garment machinist for production atelier at Saint Laurent.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Report to the team leader and execute assigned operations on the production line in accordance with production plans and deadlines.
  • Carry out complete or partial assembly and mounting operations on various garment models, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity targets.
  • Operate a range of industrial sewing equipment, including piqueuse plate, surjeteuse and specialised machines, and perform hand-stitching when required.
  • Perform self-inspection (autocontrôle) of finished work to verify conformity with quality criteria and production specifications.
  • Contribute to a collaborative atelier environment by communicating effectively with team members and responding promptly to production needs.

Qualifications

  • CAP, Bac Pro or BTS in garment manufacturing, clothing construction or related fashion/fabrication discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' demonstrable experience in a similar sewing/assembly role; experience within the luxury or high-end apparel sector is strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of garment assembly techniques, fabric behaviour and industrial machine operation.
  • High level of precision, proactivity, attention to detail, and ability to work constructively within a production team.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in a comparable production sewing or assembly role; prior experience in luxury apparel manufacturing is desirable.
