Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive the Women’s Leather Goods business to achieve sales, sell-through, and inventory targets in China.
  • Collaborate with General Merchandising Manager, Store Directors, and Central Merchandising to strategize product development, launch, assortment, distribution, and pricing.
  • Monitor business performance to meet sell-through and financial objectives.
  • Execute a comprehensive strategy for Women's Leather Goods to maximize business while ensuring consistent brand messaging.
  • Lead buying sessions to secure optimal merchandise quantities and sizes for targeted sales and sell-through.
  • Plan and execute seasonal product launches, including trunk shows and pre-order events.
  • Coordinate with training teams to provide product knowledge, sales strategies, and selling techniques to store networks.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising for collection launches, boutique remerchandising, and end-of-season sales.
  • Manage product life cycle including seasonal assortment planning, line development, and merchandise selection.
  • Oversee inventory management, delivery, and reordering to maintain stock levels and coordinate with stores and warehouses.
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to develop strategies to boost sales and manage pricing and merchandise issues during sales periods.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain knowledge of market trends and customer profiles.
  • Communicate product feedback and market needs to global merchants, including strategic pricing and placement.
  • Collaborate with retail teams to align with local market needs, support in-store activities, and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Retail, E-Commerce, Business Planning, Visual Merchandising, Store Planning, and Communications.
  • Travel internationally to Paris and within Mainland China.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

Skills

Strong fashion and market sense with experience in high-end fashion buying for the China market. Proven leadership and communication skills with experience in team development and succession planning. High level of financial and business acumen. Excellent presentation, planning, and analytical skills. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Entrepreneurial mindset with attention to detail and target orientation.

Experience

Minimum of 6 years in fashion merchandising or buying roles within international fashion or luxury brands.
