Saint Laurent is seeking a Finance Manager in Tokyo, Japan. This role involves financial management, target setting, and collaboration with various departments to support business growth.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with FP&A and Shared Services to set and analyze sales and category targets on a yearly, half-yearly, quarterly, and monthly basis.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and assumptions for target and budget forecasting, including market trend analysis and cost control simulations.
  • Prepare and report on retail daily sales versus targets and last year’s figures by store and category, as well as wholesale reports.
  • Manage operating expenses and balance sheets, ensuring accurate cost center and account management.
  • Oversee budget capex and depreciation, and analyze actual versus target and last year’s performance, focusing on store profit and loss.
  • Lead accounting procedures with SSC for voucher preparation, ensuring compliance with Kering Accounting Manual.
  • Submit monthly and YTD financial data to headquarters and respond to inquiries.
  • Support external and internal audits, oversee inventory control and stock taking, and assist with compliance and legal matters.
  • Lead projects related to the expansion of the store network, including openings, refurbishments, and relocations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an international environment.

Skills

Native proficiency in Japanese and business proficiency in English. Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial data. Proficiency in Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, formulas), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with accounting systems such as JDE, Hyperion, and Concur is preferred. Excellent communication skills.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in a finance-related position within an international setting is required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
