Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a VM & Store Planning Executive (Contract) in Sydney to oversee visual merchandising and boutique space planning.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement visual merchandising concepts and boutique layouts that reflect the Maison’s creative direction and commercial objectives.
  • Produce and maintain store planograms, floorplans and fixture schedules to optimise traffic flow, sightlines and product presentation.
  • Design window schemes, in‑store vignettes and seasonal displays; create technical installation packs and visual guidelines for local rollout.
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally with Retail Operations, Store Managers, marketing and external vendors to schedule installations and ensure quality control.
  • Manage VM asset inventory and signage libraries; monitor compliance with global VM standards and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare presentation materials and cost estimates for store refreshes, refits and special events; support procurement for fixtures and display elements.
  • Deliver in‑store training and visual coaching to boutique teams to uphold merchandising standards and drive conversion.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in luxury visual merchandising and store planning within jewellery, watches or high‑end fashion.
  • Strong technical capability in producing scale drawings, planograms and installation specifications.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to translate creative briefs into operational execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple rollouts and third‑party suppliers while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of retail KPIs and how VM impacts sales, conversion and client experience.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in visual merchandising and store planning within the luxury sector, with hands‑on involvement in boutique rollouts, window productions and cross‑disciplinary project delivery.

Education

Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
