Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Senior Merchandising Project Manager & Business Analyst (High Jewellery) in Paris to lead assortment, forecasting and commercial analysis.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive merchandising strategy for High Jewellery collections across boutiques and wholesale channels, establishing assortment, allocation and replenishment rules by market and client segment.
- Produce commercial business cases, pricing architecture and margin analyses to support collection launches and product lifecycle decisions.
- Design, develop and maintain KPI dashboards and forecasts (sales, sell-through, stock, aging) to inform regional and global commercial decisions.
- Lead cross-functional projects and day-to-day coordination with design, ateliers, production, supply chain, finance, retail and marketing to ensure seamless product launches and allocations.
- Perform post-launch performance reviews and derive actionable recommendations to optimise assortment, pricing and stock management.
- Manage ad hoc commercial analyses, scenario modelling and financial simulations to support executive decision-making.
- Drive process improvements and the implementation of reporting tools and analytical standards; ensure data quality and alignment with central ERPs/BI systems.
- Coach and mentor junior analysts and liaise with external agencies or consultants as required, ensuring confidentiality and high standards appropriate to high-value product management.
Qualifications
- Proven analytical and commercial acumen with rigorous attention to detail and numerical precision.
- Strong project management capabilities and ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Deep understanding of luxury retail dynamics and sensitivity to the specific constraints of high-value jewellery (limited SKUs, bespoke items, client confidentiality).
- Autonomy, diplomacy and discretion when handling sensitive commercial and client information.
- Ability to translate analytical insight into clear recommendations and operational plans for retail teams.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandising, commercial planning or business analysis within the luxury goods sector; demonstrable exposure to high-value product categories (haute joaillerie, watches or couture) and international retail operations is strongly preferred.
Education
Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Luxury Management, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
