Van Cleef & Arpels — Geneva: Retail Operations Internship supporting boutique operations, inventory, merchandising and client service.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support daily boutique operations including opening/closing procedures, stock replenishment and upkeep of the sales floor to brand standards.
  • Assist with inventory control activities: stock receipts, tagging, stock transfers and regular cycle counts.
  • Contribute to visual merchandising and window displays under guidance from the boutique visual team to ensure consistent brand presentation.
  • Provide seamless client-service support: welcome clients, assist with appointments, prepare merchandise for viewings and follow up on client requests.
  • Maintain and update CRM and sales administration records, prepare basic operational reports and reconcile POS transactions.
  • Coordinate logistics for boutique events and private appointments, liaising with internal teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Ensure strict adherence to security, loss-prevention and compliance procedures specific to high-value retail.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Luxury Management, Retail Management, Hospitality or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated interest in luxury retail, fine jewellery or watchmaking; internships or part-time experience in retail is advantageous.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of discretion when handling high-value merchandise.
  • Legal authorization to undertake an internship in Switzerland (where applicable).

Experience

Prior retail or luxury-focused internship experience is preferred but not required; demonstrable customer service exposure and familiarity with boutique environments will be considered an advantage.

Education

Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Business, Luxury Management, Retail Management, Hospitality or a closely related field.
