Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Master Data Management (MDM) platform supporting product and reference data for production and retail systems.
- Ensure data quality, consistency and completeness across PIM/MDM, ERP and PLM systems through validation rules, reconciliation processes and corrective actions.
- Manage incident resolution, batch processing, data loads and production releases; own change control and deployment coordination with IT and business stakeholders.
- Define and monitor KPIs for data quality, processing SLAs and platform availability; prepare regular operational reports for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Merchandising, Product, Supply Chain, IT, Retail) to translate business requirements into stable production processes.
- Supervise and coach a small team of MDM analysts/operators and manage external vendors or integrators where applicable.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, naming conventions, product hierarchies and attribute taxonomies specific to luxury product assortments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives: automate recurring tasks, optimise data flows and implement quality controls to reduce downstream rework.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and people‑management skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions.
- Strong understanding of master data domains (product, material, supplier, catalog) and upstream/downstream system interfaces.
- Excellent analytical aptitude with experience designing and implementing data quality controls and reconciliation procedures.
- Solid project and change‑management capability; familiarity with release management and production support rhythms.
- Fluent business acumen within retail, wholesale or luxury product environments; attention to detail and respect for craftsmanship constraints.
- Preferred: ITIL foundation or equivalent experience in production support and incident/change management.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years in master data, product information or PIM/MDM operations, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity; experience in luxury goods, fashion or retail environments preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent; a Master's degree is advantageous.
