Van Cleef & Arpels seeks an Online Retail Operations Assistant Manager in Tokyo to manage e‑commerce fulfilment, logistics and operations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day online retail operations, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, picking, packing and fulfilment consistent with luxury standards.
- Manage relationships with third‑party logistics partners, warehouses and couriers to optimise lead times, costs and shipment integrity.
- Monitor operational KPIs (order accuracy, lead time, fulfilment cost, stock availability) and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to raise performance.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities with merchandising, inventory planning, customer service, IT and marketing to align stock, promotions and site availability.
- Supervise, coach and develop a small operations team; allocate resources and escalate issues to senior management when required.
- Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliation with ERP/OMS and investigation of discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with brand presentation, packaging protocols, customs/regulatory requirements and data privacy standards for online sales.
- Support project delivery for platform updates, process automation and integration workstreams; act as operations subject‑matter expert in change initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in e‑commerce operations, supply chain or fulfilment roles — ideally within luxury or premium retail.
- Prior supervisory or assistant‑manager experience, with demonstrable people management and vendor‑management capability.
- Strong analytical ability with experience monitoring KPIs and driving process improvements.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining luxury service levels.
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional, matrixed environments and managing external logistics partners.
Skills
Experience
Typically 4+ years in e‑commerce, retail operations or logistics with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity; prior exposure to luxury retail or premium brands highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or equivalent experience preferred.
