Merchandising Specialist
Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Merchandising Specialist in Seoul to lead assortment planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation for the local market.

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute assortment and merchandise plans aligned with seasonal strategies, sales targets and brand positioning for the Seoul market.
- Perform weekly/monthly sales and inventory analysis to optimise stock levels, manage sell-through and minimise ageing across channels.
- Prepare forecasts, open‑to‑buy plans and replenishment recommendations in collaboration with buying, planning and store teams.
- Translate global product allocations into localised merchandising actions, including SKU mix, visual priorities and launch schedules.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities for product launches and special events, liaising with marketing, CRM and visual merchandising.
- Manage vendor and internal stakeholder communication to ensure timely deliveries, quality compliance and markdown/clearance strategies.
- Produce management reporting and presentations to senior leadership on assortment performance, margin drivers and inventory KPIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Economics or a related discipline.
- Proven commercial acumen with strong numerical and analytical capability; comfortable working with retail KPIs and margin analyses.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.
- Fluent Korean and professional working proficiency in English is advantageous (local market fluency required).
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage concurrent product flows and seasonal deadlines.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–5 years of merchandising, planning or buying experience within luxury retail, jewellery or premium fashion. Prior exposure to the Korean market or pan‑Asian retail operations and experience managing in‑season replenishment and product launches is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Economics or a related discipline.
