Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial and go-to-market strategy for the watchmaking segment to accelerate revenue growth and brand positioning.
  • Identify, negotiate and secure strategic partnerships and distribution opportunities with retailers, wholesale partners and key accounts.
  • Develop and monitor sales forecasts, KPIs and budgets; produce regular performance reporting and action plans to meet objectives.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives with Product, Marketing, Retail, After-Sales and Supply Chain to align product launches and commercial campaigns.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of business development and account managers, setting targets and ensuring professional development.
  • Conduct market, competitor and channel analysis to identify white-space opportunities and inform pricing, assortment and promotional decisions.
  • Represent the brand in client meetings, trade events and internal/external committees to reinforce strategic relationships and brand integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in business development or commercial leadership within luxury watchmaking or high-end jewellery (or closely related luxury sectors).
  • Capacity to negotiate at senior levels with international retail partners and multi-channel distributors.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with experience in sales forecasting, P&L impact assessment and KPI-driven performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively across creative, operational and commercial stakeholders.

Experience

Typically 6–10 years of progressive commercial experience in luxury watchmaking or jewellery, including responsibility for business development, key accounts or regional sales and demonstrated success opening or expanding distribution channels.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Luxury Management or equivalent; advanced degree or executive education in luxury management preferred.
