Role & Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to facilities service requests, ensuring timely setup and maintenance of audiovisual and furniture for meetings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of building and grounds, including daily inventory management of copy paper and supplies.
  • Assist in the repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and material handling equipment.
  • Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) to address user requests and implement corrective actions.
  • Test and inspect emergency and life safety systems to comply with NFPA, OSHA, and agency standards.
  • Align facilities activities with corporate sustainability programs and report safety issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain parts inventory, order necessary materials, and provide daily reports on work status and resource usage.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with technical or vocational training in related fields.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, across all employee levels.
  • Self-motivated, customer service-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of PLCs for troubleshooting and experience with electronic testing equipment.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals. Leadership skills to foster a team atmosphere. Experience with lifts such as Skyjack, forklifts, and hand pallet trucks. Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.

Experience

A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is required.

Education

High school diploma with technical or vocational training.
