Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary shift team in the European distribution centre to meet productivity, quality and safety targets.
  • Plan and allocate resources and tasks to ensure on-time order fulfilment and efficient warehouse flow across receiving, storage, picking and dispatch.
  • Monitor operational KPIs (productivity, accuracy, OTIF, returns) and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety rules, security protocols and internal SOPs for high-value goods handling.
  • Coordinate with planning, inventory control, quality assurance and transport teams to resolve issues and optimise throughput.
  • Conduct performance reviews, recruit and onboard new team members, and deliver ongoing training on processes and systems.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and system changes; act as the local point of contact for operational projects.
  • Prepare shift reports, escalate operational risks to management and contribute to workforce scheduling and absence cover.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse, distribution or e‑commerce operations, preferably in a luxury or high‑value goods environment.
  • Strong operational and problem‑solving skills with a track record of meeting KPIs and improving processes.
  • Ability to coach and motivate frontline teams, manage performance and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.
  • Good organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English; practical command of German and/or French is highly desirable given the bilingual region.

Experience

Several years of progressive operational experience in distribution/warehouse environments with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role; experience in luxury, high‑value or regulated goods is an advantage.

Education

Vocational qualification in logistics, supply chain, business administration or equivalent professional experience.
