Overview

Swatch Group Services Ltd. is the central services and IT competence centre within the Swatch Group, supporting a portfolio of premium watch maisons from its headquarters in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. The IT organisation operates as a global, multi-brand technology hub that designs and runs enterprise-grade systems and infrastructure for the Group's international operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN architecture to support global offices, manufacturing sites and retail locations.
  • Operate and optimise routing and switching infrastructure, including configuration, upgrades and capacity planning.
  • Manage network security appliances and services (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation) to preserve confidentiality and availability.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and perform root-cause analysis; own incident remediation and post-incident documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and external vendors on global projects, migrations and rollouts.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting and performance measurement for network services; maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
  • Contribute to network automation, IaC and change-control processes to increase reliability and repeatability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional network certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proven experience administering enterprise routing and switching technologies and network security appliances.
  • Strong familiarity with network design principles, IP addressing, VLANs, BGP, OSPF and QoS.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international, matrixed organisation and communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Cisco (IOS/Catalyst/IOS-XE) Juniper (Junos) Firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet or equivalent) Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF Switching, VLANs, Spanning Tree, QoS VPN technologies and remote-access solutions Network monitoring and observability tools (SNMP, syslog) Linux (networking on Linux hosts) Virtualisation & SDN: VMware, NSX or cloud networking (AWS/Azure VPC) Automation tools such as Ansible or comparable scripting

Experience

Minimum three years of hands-on experience managing enterprise networks in a medium-to-large corporate environment, including project delivery and operational support.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent professional experience.
