Moebius (Swatch Group) seeks a Chemical Engineer in Itingen, Switzerland to perform instrumental analyses and support laboratory R&D.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform instrumental and analytical testing to support R&D, quality control and product development.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory instrumentation and ensure proper functioning of analytical equipment.
  • Prepare and characterise lubricant and specialty product samples, including sample preparation and documentation.
  • Execute and document analytical methods, ensuring data integrity and compliance with laboratory procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams to support project delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Report results clearly, contribute to technical reports, and propose corrective actions or formulation optimisations when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or a closely related discipline (BSc or MSc).
  • Proven experience in instrumental analysis and laboratory practice within an industrial or R&D environment.
  • Solid understanding of analytical methodologies, method validation and good laboratory practice (GLP).
  • Strong attention to detail, organised documentation skills and a safety‑oriented mindset.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and international teams.

Experience
