Swatch Group — Accounts Payable Accountant (Retail) in Paris. Permanent full‑time role supporting payables for the French retail network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process and code supplier invoices for the retail network, ensuring timely and accurate posting in the ERP system.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation, escalating and resolving discrepancies with stores and suppliers.
  • Prepare and execute supplier payments according to payment terms and internal controls; manage payment runs.
  • Perform regular supplier reconciliations and maintain supplier master data integrity.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to payables, including accruals and reporting.
  • Respond to supplier queries and liaise with retail store managers to resolve invoice and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, VAT rules and local regulatory requirements; support audits when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–4 years’ professional experience in accounts payable, preferably within retail or multi‑site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice matching, reconciliations and month‑end routines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate supplier master data and to enforce internal controls.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Skills

SAP (accounts payable/finance modules) — experience preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data validation) ERP system transaction posting and vendor reconciliation Invoice matching (PO/invoice/GRN) and payment run preparation Knowledge of VAT accounting and local tax/reporting requirements

Experience

2–4 years in accounts payable or general accounting, ideally within a retail environment or a multi‑brand organisation; experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Licence/Bachelor) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
