Collection Designer
Swatch — Biel/Bienne, Switzerland: Collection Designer (Full-time) at Swatch Design Lab to develop seasonal watch collections and prototypes.

Role & Responsibilities
- Conceive and develop seasonal watch collections from initial concept through to production-ready specifications, ensuring alignment with brand DNA.
- Lead trend research, concept sketching, material selection and colour direction to create cohesive collection narratives.
- Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for prototyping and manufacturing; collaborate closely with engineers and suppliers to validate feasibility.
- Oversee prototype reviews and sample iterations, providing clear feedback to internal teams and external partners to meet quality and timing targets.
- Present concepts and collection rationales to cross‑functional stakeholders, and contribute to product roadmaps and merchandising strategies.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Jewellery/Watches, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience designing product collections — ideally within watches, jewellery or luxury accessories.
- Excellent sketching and technical drawing abilities, with strong sense of proportion, materials and finishing.
- Solid understanding of materials, components and production processes used in watchmaking.
- Fluent visual communication skills and the ability to present concepts clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

Experience
Several years of professional experience in product or collection design, preferably with direct exposure to watches, jewellery or luxury accessories; demonstrable track record of delivering collections from concept to production.
Education
Degree or diploma in Industrial/Product Design, Jewellery/Watches design, or equivalent qualification.
