Swatch is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (contract) in Frankfurt am Main — 1.5 year parental-leave cover at the Roßmarkt store.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in all day-to-day retail operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
  • Drive the customer journey by delivering high-quality sales interactions, clienteling and aftercare to maximise conversion and loyalty.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards and in-store storytelling to reflect seasonal campaigns and product launches.
  • Coach, motivate and supervise sales staff to achieve individual and store sales targets; participate in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Manage stock control, inventory accuracy and replenishment processes, liaising with regional logistics as required.
  • Analyse sales performance metrics and contribute to planning and execution of local promotional activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in retail, preferably within watches, accessories or fashion retail.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities with experience leading a small sales team.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays, and availability for a fixed-term parental-leave cover (~1.5 years).
  • Professional presentation and a customer-focused demeanour.

Experience

Typically 2+ years of hands-on retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager role; prior experience in watches, jewellery or fashion retail is advantageous.

Education

Secondary education; vocational training in retail, sales, or a related discipline preferred but not mandatory.
