Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement retail-specific supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve product availability.
  • Oversee procurement, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to retail stores and customers.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve the efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and store operations teams to align supply chain activities with sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals.
  • Utilize data analysis and forecasting to manage inventory levels and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance supply chain visibility and streamline operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within retail supply chain management.

Skills

Strong understanding of retail supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Relex or similar systems). Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, with a focus on retail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
