Senior Specialist, Legal & Government Affairs
Sephora Shanghai seeks a Senior Specialist, Legal & Government Affairs to manage government relations, licensing and legal coordination (full‑time, onsite).

Role & Responsibilities
- Provide timely, professional support on government affairs at a national level, including management of company key certificates, annual subsidy applications and energy assessments.
- Manage network sustainability and regulatory matters for new store openings, closures and changes in persons in charge across China.
- Drive legal process digitalization and optimisation initiatives to improve legal team efficiency and turnaround times.
- Administer legal budget and payment processes, ensuring legal spend aligns with the company’s annual budgeting policy while meeting team requirements.
- Act as coordinator for the legal team and serve as the primary contact window for company‑level activities and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Undertake ad‑hoc projects and assignments as required by the Legal and Government Affairs department.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from a reputable PRC university; legal qualification or law major preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience; prior experience in government affairs, public relations or corporate legal functions is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- High standards of ethics, professional integrity and confidentiality.
- Meticulous attention to detail, reliability and the ability to learn quickly in a changing environment.
- Solid command of English for business use.

Experience
At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in government affairs, public relations or corporate legal roles within China; experience handling regulatory and licensing matters for retail networks is advantageous.
Education
Undergraduate degree from a reputable PRC university; law degree or legal studies preferred.
