Role & Responsibilities
- Own Sephora’s Douyin short‑form content business: drive traffic from short videos and influencer content into live streams and product shelves to maximise conversion.
- Design and execute content production plans aligned to product mechanics and platform promotional calendar.
- Define product selling points and shot requirements; produce clear content briefs in close collaboration with Brand and Marketing teams.
- Lead creative suppliers to edit, scale and iterate seed videos; apply data‑driven edits and creative optimisations to short video content.
- Develop content placement and paid strategy on Douyin, including budget allocation, audience targeting and scheduling.
- Establish and communicate content‑related mechanisms and operating processes to improve product fit for content activation.
- Continuously test, analyse and optimise video investment performance; conduct post‑campaign reviews to improve efficiency.
- Explore organic Douyin traffic acquisition tactics to elevate overall channel efficiency.
- Manage related financial planning and process controls for content activities.
- Support the channel lead with day‑to‑day Douyin store operations as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in short‑form video content creation and paid/organic optimisation on Douyin or analogous platforms.
- Proven analytical capability to measure and optimise short‑video performance; comfortable working with campaign metrics and A/B testing.
- Good understanding of beauty category products and consumer behaviour within cosmetics/e‑commerce.
- Basic short‑form video editing proficiency and strong digital/‘net‑sense’ (trend awareness and creative judgement).
- Deep familiarity with Douyin traffic logic, including paid and organic acquisition methods; prior Douyin shop operation experience preferred.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years’ practical experience managing short‑form video content and optimisation for e‑commerce or beauty brands, with demonstrable results in traffic acquisition and conversion.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business or a related discipline preferred.
