Sephora is seeking an IT Director for Retail Stores in Shanghai, China. This role involves leading IT initiatives to enhance store operations and customer satisfaction.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the IT roadmap for retail stores in alignment with business objectives, including defining standards, policies, and procedures for in-store technologies.
  • Oversee the performance, availability, and lifecycle management of in-store systems and applications, ensuring system stability and data accuracy.
  • Lead the lifecycle management of retail store hardware, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and asset tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver IT solutions that enhance efficiency, sales, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and mentor a team of IT professionals to provide responsive technical support and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish and enforce IT service level agreements for store support, ensuring timely resolution of technical incidents.
  • Develop and manage the retail IT budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party vendors to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of IT experience, including 8+ years in a management role overseeing retail store IT domains.
  • Deep expertise in retail in-store technologies, including POS systems, inventory management software, and network infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of leading distributed IT teams and managing vendor relationships.

Skills

Excellent program and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in budget planning and cost optimization. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Experience

12+ years of IT experience with at least 8 years in a management role, preferably in a national retail environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
