Sephora is hiring an HR Business Partner, Retail (Northwest Region) — Remote, San Francisco Bay Area. Full‑time role supporting field leadership.
Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Act as strategic HR advisor to Regional Directors, District Managers, and Store Managers to align people strategies with business objectives and lead change management efforts.
- Own talent management processes including performance management, calibration, succession planning, promotions, and leadership coaching.
- Design and facilitate training and development initiatives; coordinate annual HR cycles such as performance reviews and compensation planning.
- Lead employee relations case management and investigations while ensuring compliance with employment law and company policy.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, absenteeism) to identify trends and provide data‑driven recommendations to improve retention and organizational effectiveness.
- Manage leave of absence and accommodation processes and handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and integrity.
- Support cross‑functional HR projects, process improvements, and regional execution of corporate HR initiatives.
- Conduct regular store visits and regional travel (approximately 25–40%) to partner with field leadership and drive on‑the‑ground HR execution.
Qualifications
- Progressive experience as an HR Business Partner or HR generalist, preferably within retail or multi‑unit environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, manage change, and build strong cross‑functional relationships.
- Knowledge of performance management, succession planning, employee relations, leave of absence and accommodation processes, and employment law compliance.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret HR data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred; HR certifications such as PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP preferred.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region (approx. 25–40%) and operate autonomously in a remote market‑based role.

Experience
Several years of progressive HR experience in HR Business Partner or generalist roles, ideally within retail or multi‑unit operations, with demonstrated experience advising field leadership and managing employee relations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; HR certifications (PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP) preferred.
