Sephora in Rio de Janeiro seeks a Full-time Cashier to manage POS transactions, cash handling and customer service at the store checkout.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver welcoming, efficient and policy-compliant customer service at the cash desk, including engaging customers during the transaction and encouraging participation in satisfaction surveys.
  • Execute all cash-handling activities with precision: opening and closing till procedures, daily reconciliations, employee transactions and approved cancellations/price adjustments.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system to complete sales, returns and exchanges; ensure accurate packaging (including gift wrap) and documentation of transactions.
  • Adhere strictly to Sephora and LVMH codes of conduct, loss-prevention protocols and procedures for sample distribution and special events.
  • Maintain store presentation standards at the checkout and support backstage organisation (stock, staff lockers, kitchen, restrooms).
  • Monitor and communicate supply needs (bags, packaging, labels) to the Supervisor and assist in reducing operating costs without compromising service quality.
  • Participate in mandatory training modules via My Sephora Learning and assist in onboarding and training new cashiers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of retail or cashier/cash-handling experience preferred.
  • Proven customer-service orientation, clear verbal communication and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and perform basic computer tasks.
  • Availability and flexibility to work retail hours; reliable, professional presentation and adherence to dress code.

Experience
