Sephora Shanghai seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver beauty consultations, hit sales targets and manage merchandising in-store.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional consultations in makeup, skincare and fragrance, following Sephora service standards and hygiene protocols to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Meet individual and store sales targets and KPIs through active selling, needs-based advice and product recommendations.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and execute cashiering procedures, including promotional and CRM policies, ensuring cash and transaction security.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and display standards: replenishment, tester maintenance, shelf cleanliness and execution of promotional planograms.
  • Manage stock operations: receiving, returns, inventory counts, FIFO for near‑expiry items and adherence to 5S warehouse practices.
  • Complete mandatory brand, regional and store trainings; share learning with colleagues and contribute to team development.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by store management and comply strictly with company policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Passion for cosmetics, beauty trends and luxury retail.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills; optimistic and proactive.
  • Team-oriented and willing to both learn and mentor peers.
  • Adherence to hygiene, appearance and uniform standards.

Experience

Preferably 1+ years of retail or customer-facing experience; prior experience in cosmetics, fragrance or luxury retail is advantageous but not mandatory.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetic, beauty or retail-related certification is a plus.
