Beauty Advisor
Sephora Shanghai seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver expert makeup and skincare consultations and drive retail sales.
Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional makeup, skincare and fragrance consultations in line with Sephora’s service standards to maximise customer satisfaction and lifetime value.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs through proactive clienteling, product recommendations and upsell techniques.
- Adhere to prescribed appearance and uniform standards and maintain strict hygiene and safety practices during service delivery.
- Participate in onboarding and ongoing brand and product training; share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
- Prepare and maintain visual merchandising within assigned areas, replenish stock on shelves, and ensure the presentation meets Sephora visual standards.
- Operate the POS/cashier system, process transactions according to company policies, and correctly apply promotions, returns and CRM procedures.
- Execute stock management tasks including receiving, returns, inventory counts, FIFO rotation and implementation of 5S warehouse standards to protect inventory accuracy.
- Comply with all company policies and perform additional tasks as assigned by store management.

Skills
Experience
Previous retail or beauty consultancy experience is preferred (typically 1+ year), though entry-level candidates with strong customer service aptitude and a demonstrable passion for beauty are considered.
Education
No specific degree required; secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent) preferred.
