Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring adherence to schedules and conducting pre-closing meetings with accounting team leaders and finance business partners.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly statutory reports for all legal entities and branch offices, as well as quarterly financial reports to shareholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of balance sheet data, both actual and forecast, in the group reporting system and complete balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Provide flux analysis on balance sheet accounts and indirect cash flow to the group reporting team, and respond to their inquiries.
  • Coordinate the review of manual journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Update the Chart of Accounts and Cost Center/Profit Center structures as needed.
  • Advise on accounting treatments and standardize booking rules to ensure compliance with IFRS and PRC GAAP.
  • Validate vendor and customer data creation and modification.
  • Support the formulation of company accounting policies and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
  • Coach team members on accounting principles and internal control requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
  • 3+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in the retail sector.
  • 2+ years of managerial experience.
  • Familiarity with PRC and IFRS GAAP practices.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Skills

Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years in General Ledger accounting and 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the retail industry.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
