Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, proactive presence on the selling floor (75–80% of scheduled time) to deter theft and promote a safe shopping environment.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and internal reporting tools; identify, investigate and document potential losses and safety incidents.
- Collaborate with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to implement shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Lead or participate in asset protection meetings and training to reinforce protocols and improve team awareness.
- Respond to incidents with calm, professional de-escalation techniques while prioritizing client and employee safety and experience.
- Conduct audits, prepare asset protection reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and licensing requirements.
- Support other locations as needed and represent the company in legal proceedings, including testifying in court when required.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage incidents professionally.
- Familiarity with CCTV operation and incident/reporting tools.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and meet scheduling requirements including nights, weekends and holidays.

Experience
1–2 years in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention, with practical exposure to CCTV monitoring, incident response and collaboration with store leadership.
