Role & Responsibilities

  • Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls to minimize shrinkage.
  • Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter potential external thefts.
  • Adhere to all legal and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
  • Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
  • Provide testimony in court for criminal or civil cases as required.
  • Deliver new hire and ongoing employee training to enhance store loss prevention awareness.
  • Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Assist with inventory preparation and processes, collaborating on shrinkage prevention plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
  • Meet all provincial or local licensing requirements.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills

Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel. Flexibility to work varied hours and days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work at multiple locations within a market.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in a related field.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent.
