Role & Responsibilities
- Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the leadership team to uphold operational controls to mitigate losses.
- Provide exemplary customer service while conducting surveillance on the sales floor and utilizing CCTV systems to identify potential theft.
- Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, searches, and evidence preservation.
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Cultivate professional relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases as required.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing employee education to enhance loss prevention awareness.
- Perform store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the leadership team and district loss prevention manager.
- Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail environment.
- Fulfillment of all provincial or local licensing requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
