Rolex in Geneva seeks an R&D Engineer - Simulation to join its innovative team. Ideal candidates will have a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and experience in the watch industry.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize numerical models to predict the performance, reliability, and technical feasibility of new concepts within innovation projects, new product development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the validity and relevance of models through correlation testing.
  • Identify and analyze product characteristics and specifications in close collaboration with designers and test engineers.
  • Formalize methodologies and results, and regularly communicate them through technical reports or presentations.
  • Participate in projects related to new products, system innovation, and series life optimization/support within multidisciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Physics, or equivalent, with a specialization in simulation and numerical modeling tools.
  • Strong knowledge in structural analysis, material science, tribology, and mathematics.
  • Preferred experience in the wristwatch and horological apparel industry.

Skills

Proficiency in numerical modeling and simulation tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
