Rolex (Geneva) seeks a Production Operations Technician to coordinate machining and finishing workshop activities and drive production performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the machining and finishing activities of the production workshop, ensuring alignment with sector objectives for quality, cost and lead times.
  • Provide daily technical and quality support to workshop teams and act as the technical point of contact for the zone.
  • Identify, analyse and communicate production risks to the workshop, and follow up corrective actions until resolution.
  • Manage tooling and consumables to ensure availability and conformity.
  • Define, maintain and report on operational indicators to monitor workshop performance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate technical sessions and workshops to drive problem solving and process optimisation.
  • Ensure reliability and compliance of the workshop’s master data and adherence to documented procedures.
  • Analyse production data and ensure the integrity of entries in the production information system.
  • Verify conformity of new tools and processes and participate in the qualification of new products and operational modes.

Qualifications

  • Technician diploma (Technicien ES) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Initial professional experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Practical knowledge of structured quality problem‑solving methods (e.g. 8D, Pareto).
  • Capacity to analyse significant volumes of production data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, active listening skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in watchmaking and basic project management experience considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with SAP considered an asset.

Experience

A first professional experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is required; prior exposure to watchmaking operations and involvement in project activities are advantageous.
