Role & Responsibilities
- Conceive and develop a robust rotating bezel locking solution to secure a defined bezel position.
- Collect and formalize functional, mechanical and manufacturing requirements for the locking mechanism.
- Conduct a state-of-the-art review of existing bezel locking systems and relevant technologies.
- Generate, evaluate and select design concepts through ideation and feasibility assessment.
- Develop selected concepts and produce functional prototypes for evaluation.
- Execute proof-of-concept tests and performance evaluations within the internship timeframe (6 months).
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, or an equivalent program.
- Demonstrable competencies in mechanical design and numerical simulation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and micromechanical / watchmaking techniques.
- Creative problem-solving mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Availability for a six-month internship placement.
Skills
Experience
Academic and project experience in precision mechanical design and simulation; prior laboratory or workshop prototyping experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, or equivalent.
