Rolex in Geneva seeks an Intellectual Property Counsel to manage trademarks & designs, supervise IP portfolio and coordinate external counsel.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the activities of IP managers responsible for trademark and design portfolios, including searches, filings, renewals and dispute management.
  • Manage and oversee trademark and design prosecution and enforcement strategies for the company.
  • Coordinate and liaise closely with external intellectual property firms and specialised counsel.
  • Analyse and monitor IP strategies across business units, providing legal guidance and risk assessment.
  • Drive and follow up on cross-functional IP projects, working with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Law degree with a specialisation in intellectual property law.
  • Proven track record in handling trademark and design matters, including prosecution and disputes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate or supervise a small team of IP professionals.
  • Excellent written and oral command of French and English.
  • Knowledge of German is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, proactivity and sound judgement.

Experience

Confirmed professional experience in intellectual property law with substantive, hands-on responsibility for trademark and design portfolios and demonstrated involvement in coordinating cross-departmental projects and external counsel relationships.

Degree in law with specialisation in intellectual property law.
