Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of habillage components (cases, dials, hands, crowns, straps and related fittings) against technical specifications and sampling plans.
  • Execute dimensional measurements using calipers and micrometers and carry out visual and microscopic examinations to detect cosmetic and functional non-conformities.
  • Record inspection results, maintain traceability of batches and update quality documentation in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Tag, quarantine and generate non-conformance reports for defective or non-compliant parts and liaise with suppliers and production teams to expedite containment actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing observations, root-cause hypotheses and corrective action proposals.
  • Assist senior quality engineers with incoming audits, inspection plan reviews and ad hoc quality projects.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a recognised programme in watchmaking (horology), mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology or quality management.
  • Basic understanding of habillage components and watchmaking terminology.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to work under a stereo microscope for extended periods.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret dimensional tolerances.
  • Methodical approach, exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.

Experience

Prior hands-on experience in a workshop or production environment is advantageous but not mandatory; basic exposure to watch components or precision part inspection preferred.

Education

Enrolled in a vocational or tertiary programme in watchmaking (horology), mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology or quality/industrial inspection.
