Wholesale Manager
Richemont Wholesale Manager — Mexico City: lead distributor and key-account strategy for Richemont maisons across Mexico.
Overview
Richemont is a Switzerland-based luxury goods holding company that brings together a portfolio of maisons in jewellery, watches and high-end accessories, including internationally recognised names such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Montblanc. The group is organised to support maison-level autonomy while providing centralized commercial, operational and financial capabilities across international markets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the wholesale commercial strategy for Richemont maisons across Mexico, aligning channel priorities with brand positioning and global regional directives.
- Manage and develop relationships with key distributors, department store partners and multi-brand retailers to maximise brand presence, sell-through and margin.
- Own annual and rolling sales forecasts, inventory cadence and replenishment plans to optimise availability and minimise aged stock.
- Set channel targets and KPIs; prepare and present monthly/quarterly performance reports and action plans to senior management.
- Lead commercial negotiations on assortment, pricing, promotions and exclusivity agreements while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate trade marketing, merchandising and in-store activations with brand teams and local partners to ensure consistent brand expression.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and consumer demand to identify growth opportunities and localised product strategies.
- Manage budgetary responsibilities for wholesale activities, including promotional spend, co-op marketing and trade allowances.
- Coach and develop distributor commercial teams; run training sessions on product knowledge, visual merchandising and customer experience standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, planning, legal and finance to resolve distribution issues and support commercial initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or equivalent; advanced business qualification (MBA) preferred but not required.
- Proven track record of 5+ years in wholesale, distribution or key-account management within luxury goods (watches, jewellery, leather goods or premium accessories preferred).
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, P&L responsibility and trade agreement negotiation.
- Strong analytical capability with experience using quantitative sales tools to drive decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience
Minimum five years’ progressive experience in wholesale or distribution within the luxury or premium goods sector, with demonstrable success managing key accounts and driving channel growth across a national market.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification advantageous.
