Role & Responsibilities
- Support experienced watchmakers in assembly, disassembly and adjustment of mechanical movements under supervision.
- Perform precision tasks such as part cleaning, oiling, timing and simple component assembly using hand tools and magnification.
- Inspect components and finished movements for quality and document findings in workshop records.
- Maintain workshop tools, ensure workplace cleanliness and comply with safety and EHS procedures.
- Participate in training modules, technical briefings and craftsmanship exercises to develop horological skills.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an accredited watchmaking or horology school (Uhrmacherschule) or equivalent vocational program.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine motor control suitable for precision mechanical work.
- Strong interest in mechanical watches, attention to detail and a disciplined approach to repetitive precision tasks.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work within a small, focused workshop team.
- Basic technical English or German is advantageous for instruction comprehension.
Skills
Experience
No professional experience required; applicants should be current students at a recognized watchmaking school. Prior workshop practice or basic hands-on experience with small mechanical assemblies is advantageous.
Education
Enrolment in a watchmaking/horology vocational program or equivalent (Uhrmacherschule).
