Richemont seeks a Watchmaker in Munich to service and repair high‑end timepieces; experienced horologists with certified training encouraged to apply.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis, disassembly, cleaning, repair and reassembly of mechanical and quartz movements to brand quality standards.
  • Regulate escapements and adjust timing to achieve specified rate tolerances using timing machines and microscopes.
  • Execute case, dial and hand work including hand‑setting, case reconditioning and water‑resistance testing.
  • Replace and fabricate parts where necessary, liaising with parts departments and external suppliers to source original components.
  • Document service procedures and maintain accurate work orders and quality-control records.
  • Participate in in‑house quality assurance checks and final inspection prior to client delivery.
  • Provide technical advice to boutique teams and, when required, communicate repair status to clients in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior technicians in workshop best practices.

Qualifications

  • Qualified watchmaking certification (WOSTEP, LME or equivalent) or completed vocational watchmaking apprenticeship.
  • Proven competence in servicing mechanical calibres and familiarity with common chronograph and automatic movements.
  • Excellent fine-motor skills, manual dexterity and visual acuity suitable for microscopic assembly work.
  • High standards of precision, patience and attention to detail aligned with luxury watchmaking requirements.
  • Ability to follow technical manuals and maintain meticulous documentation of repairs and parts.

Experience
