Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Digital Workplace (DWP) Unified Communications team in the administration and daily operation of enterprise messaging and collaboration services.
- Assist with mailbox and tenant provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, license management and access control across Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
- Monitor service health, triage incidents, escalate where necessary and contribute to root-cause analysis and remediation activities.
- Contribute to migration, upgrade and deployment projects for messaging platforms and collaboration tools; execute test plans and document results.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge-base articles for internal support teams and end users.
- Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and tooling; create small scripts to streamline administration and reporting.
- Collaborate with global IT teams, third-party vendors and local stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery and configuration standards.
- Provide second-line support for complex user issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the messaging estate.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or a related discipline.
- Basic technical knowledge of messaging and collaboration platforms, with demonstrable interest in enterprise communications.
- Familiarity with directory services, access management and identity concepts (Active Directory/Azure AD).
- Scripting ability (PowerShell) or demonstrable willingness to learn automation techniques.
- Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to documentation and process.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.

Experience
Practical exposure through academic projects, prior internships or part-time IT roles is preferred; candidates typically have limited professional experience and are seeking hands-on operational experience with enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms.
Education
Enrolled in a relevant tertiary education program (BSc/MSc) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or similar.
