Stock Controller
Richemont is hiring a Stock Controller at Harrods, London. Responsible for inventory accuracy, stocktakes and secure handling of high-value merchandise.

Role & Responsibilities
- Control and reconcile in-store inventory: receive deliveries, perform goods-in checks, update stock ledger and reconcile variances.
- Plan and execute regular stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and shrinkage control.
- Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify trends, slow-moving items and discrepancies; present findings to store management and central logistics.
- Coordinate stock movements between the boutique, central warehouse and third-party carriers; manage transfers and returns with precise documentation.
- Ensure compliance with luxury handling standards for high-value merchandise, including secure storage, tagging (RFID/barcode) and loss-prevention procedures.
- Collaborate with sales, merchandising and visual teams to support product flow for launches, events and replenishment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail stock control or inventory management within a luxury, fashion or jewellery environment.
- Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrated ability to reconcile complex inventory data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaison with boutique teams, suppliers and central operations.
- Understanding of loss-prevention protocols and secure handling of high-value merchandise.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and peak trading periods.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of hands-on inventory or stock control experience in a retail environment, ideally within luxury goods, jewellery or watches. Experience working in flagship stores or department-store concession settings (for example Harrods) is highly desirable.
Education
Secondary education (A‑level/GCSE or equivalent); a qualification in logistics, supply chain, retail management or a related field is advantageous.
