Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide senior HR leadership for the 5th Avenue mansion site, acting as primary HR advisor to the local leadership and on-site management.
  • Drive talent acquisition and onboarding for client-facing, retail, hospitality and domestic staff, ensuring hires meet luxury service standards.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, disciplinary processes and sensitive investigations with discretion and compliance to New York labour law.
  • Design and implement local HR policies and procedures that align with group standards while addressing site-specific operational needs.
  • Partner with global HR centres to administer compensation, benefits, payroll interfaces and talent programs for on-site personnel.
  • Develop and deliver training, service excellence and leadership development initiatives tailored to luxury retail and private estate contexts.
  • Maintain HR records, confidentiality protocols and compliance documentation; prepare HR reporting and metrics for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead change initiatives on-site (store events, restructures, seasonal staffing), ensuring smooth operational transitions and high employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven knowledge of New York employment law and HR compliance requirements applicable to retail, hospitality or private residence operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and high-sensitivity personnel matters with discretion and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with local leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Professional HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication appropriate for executive-level interaction.

Experience

Typically 7+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3–5 years in a managerial HR role. Prior experience in luxury retail, hospitality, private estate/household management or a flagship store environment is strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Professional HR certification is advantageous.
