Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary functional liaison between finance stakeholders and IT for SAP FI/CO initiatives, translating business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Analyze, design and document end‑to‑end finance and controlling processes and map them into SAP FI and CO solutions.
  • Support configuration, testing (unit, integration and UAT) and deployment activities during SAP implementations, upgrades or rollouts.
  • Lead workshops with accounting, reporting and controlling teams to validate system behaviour, reconcile master data and define control points.
  • Own incident and change requests for SAP FI/CO in production: triage issues, coordinate fixes with technical teams and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop test scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing, prepare release notes and deliver end‑user training and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross‑module teams (MM, SD, Treasury, Asset Accounting) and ensure data integrity for interfaces and migrations.
  • Ensure processes and system configuration comply with internal controls, audit requirements and local statutory reporting needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Proven hands‑on experience with SAP FI/CO in implementation, upgrade or support projects.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, cost centre and profit centre controlling.
  • Ability to produce clear functional specifications, test plans and user documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across finance and IT audiences.

Experience

Several years of hands‑on experience implementing, configuring or supporting SAP FI/CO in a multinational or matrixed organisation; experience on rollouts, upgrades or S/4HANA transitions is highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field; advanced degree or professional accounting qualification is a plus.
