Cartier (Richemont) seeks a Retail Trainee in Venice — boutique internship focused on clienteling, sales support and product knowledge.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support daily boutique operations, including assisting senior client advisors with client consultations and sales transactions.
  • Develop product knowledge across jewellery and watch collections and communicate brand heritage with confidence.
  • Contribute to clienteling activities: maintain client records, follow up on appointments, and support invitation lists for in-store events.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and window presentation to ensure an immaculate, brand-compliant environment.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, assist with stock handling and inventory accuracy, and support receipt and replenishment processes.
  • Attend and engage in on-the-job training sessions and internal briefings to accelerate professional development.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a programme in fashion, retail, hospitality, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent vocational qualification).
  • Polished professional appearance and strong client-facing presence appropriate to a luxury boutique.
  • Right to work in Italy for the duration of the internship.
  • Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.

Experience

Entry-level: no extensive prior experience required. Previous retail or luxury internship experience is advantageous but not mandatory; candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm for client service and luxury goods.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; currently enrolled in or recently completed tertiary/vocational studies in fashion, retail, hospitality, business, or a related field.
