Production Technical Manager
Richemont seeks a Production Technical Manager in New York to lead technical product development, production industrialisation and supplier quality for luxury product ranges.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead technical product development and industrialisation from prototype to serial production, ensuring design intent, fit and finish are maintained at scale.
- Produce and manage detailed technical packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), tolerances and manufacturing specifications for cross-category product ranges.
- Coordinate fit sessions, pre-production and production trials with design, pattern-makers and suppliers; drive corrective actions and sign-off.
- Partner with sourcing and supplier quality teams to qualify factories, audit processes and implement material and process controls aligned with luxury quality standards.
- Establish production timelines, capacity plans and escalation protocols to meet launch dates and client commitments.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (cost, lead time, yield, scrap reduction) and transfer best practices across suppliers and maisons.
- Monitor product quality through inbound inspection, in-line checks and final inspections; ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality systems.
- Mentor and manage a small technical team or cross-functional project groups, providing technical direction and performance feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Textiles, Industrial Design, Fashion Technology or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for production technical activities in a luxury fashion, leather goods, watchmaking or jewellery environment.
- Deep knowledge of garment/leather/assembly construction, materials behaviour and manufacturing processes specific to luxury product categories.
- Strong competence in translating creative design into manufacturable solutions while preserving quality and brand standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers, run trials and to resolve complex technical and quality issues under production timelines.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in technical/production roles within luxury fashion, leather goods, watches or jewellery manufacturing, including at least 2–3 years leading technical projects or small teams and direct factory interactions.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Textiles, Industrial Design, Fashion Technology or equivalent professional experience.
