Richemont seeks a Physical Security & HSE Manager in Tokyo to lead security, safety and business continuity for its luxury maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement physical security strategy and HSE programmes for Richemont’s maisons and offices in Japan, aligned with global corporate standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, site surveys and security gap analyses; translate findings into pragmatic remediation plans and capital improvement proposals.
  • Lead incident management, crisis response and business continuity planning; act as the local incident commander for major security or safety events.
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations including access control, CCTV, alarm systems, on-site guards and third-party security vendors.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce HSE policies, procedures and permits to ensure regulatory compliance with Japanese law and internal Richemont standards.
  • Manage investigations of security breaches, accidents and near-misses; perform root-cause analysis and produce corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Design and deliver training and awareness programmes for staff, management and contractors on security, emergency response and safe working practices.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement and emergency services; represent Richemont in external security and regulatory forums as required.
  • Control departmental budgets, procurement of security/HSE systems and oversight of contractors; ensure vendor performance and contractual compliance.
  • Provide regular reporting and KPIs to regional and global stakeholders; contribute to group-level security and HSE policy development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, security management, engineering, environmental health, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications preferred: NEBOSH, IOSH, CPP or equivalent security/HSE qualification.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese HSE and security regulatory requirements and ability to interact with local authorities.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to brief senior executives and liaise across a matrix organisation.

Experience

Extensive experience in physical security and HSE functions, typically 7+ years overall with several years in a managerial role. Experience within luxury retail, hospitality, corporate retail environments or complex real-estate portfolios is strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, security management, engineering, environmental health, or a related discipline.
