Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for employees in France, ensuring accurate calculation of gross-to-net pay, statutory withholdings and net payments according to established payroll calendar.
  • Prepare and submit statutory social declarations and filings, including DSN, URSSAF and other mandatory contributions, ensuring timeliness and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain payroll-related accounting: prepare payroll journals, reconcile payables, liaise with accounting to post payroll entries and resolve reconciling items.
  • Manage employee life‑cycle payroll events (onboarding, leaves, terminations, absences, salary changes) and validate payroll implications with HR business partners.
  • Coordinate with external providers (payroll bureaux, benefits administrators, banks) and respond to audits or inspections from social authorities.
  • Prepare regular payroll reporting and analyses (cost reports, headcount fluctuations, social charges) for HR, Finance and local management.
  • Respond to employee inquiries on payslips, deductions and statutory entitlements while maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll data.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Payroll, Finance or equivalent (Bac+2/3 or higher) with formal payroll training preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of French labour law, social security regimes and statutory payroll processes (including DSN).
  • Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance and external service providers.

Experience
