Logistics Worksite Assistant Manager
Richemont seeks a Logistics Worksite Assistant Manager in Tokyo to oversee warehouse operations, supervise staff and ensure inventory accuracy.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Logistics Manager in day-to-day oversight of warehouse and site operations, ensuring smooth inbound, storage and outbound processes.
- Supervise, coach and schedule onsite logistics staff; allocate resources to meet daily priorities while maintaining high standards of service and conduct.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation and root-cause analysis for discrepancies; drive improvements to stock integrity.
- Coordinate carrier and vendor activity; manage shipment bookings, customs documentation support and on-time delivery performance.
- Monitor and report key operational KPIs (throughput, accuracy, OTIF, lead times) and prepare routine operational reports for senior management.
- Enforce health, safety and security protocols across the worksite; lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives (5S, waste reduction, process standardisation) to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
- Implement and maintain warehouse systems and procedural documentation; train staff on system use and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- Fluent Japanese required; business-level English preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally within luxury retail, watchmaking or high-value goods environments.
- Working knowledge of inventory control methodologies and regulatory/compliance requirements for high-value merchandise.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and ERP platforms (SAP experience advantageous).
- Valid forklift licence or equivalent certification preferred; strong commitment to health & safety practices.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in logistics or warehouse operations with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role; prior exposure to handling high-value or luxury goods is strongly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent practical experience.
