Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with production, technical and leadership needs across the Glashütte site.
  • Develop, manage and continuously improve technical training programs and apprenticeship curricula for watchmakers, assemblers and specialist technicians.
  • Own the end‑to‑end learning lifecycle: needs analysis, curriculum design, content development (classroom and e‑learning), delivery, and evaluation of learning impact using KPIs.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), external vendors and internal trainers; oversee training budget and procurement of learning resources.
  • Partner with HR, production leaders and subject‑matter experts to identify competency gaps, succession needs and bespoke development paths for critical roles.
  • Lead leadership and soft‑skills programmes for people managers, including coaching, performance development and change management support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and quality‑related training requirements and maintain accurate training records.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Psychology or equivalent; advanced certification in instructional design or training is desirable.
  • Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in L&D, ideally within manufacturing, technical trades or luxury goods environments.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical/apprenticeship programmes and leading cross‑functional learning initiatives.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills with experience managing external vendors and training budgets.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; ability to translate technical requirements into effective learning solutions.
  • Fluent German and strong English skills for collaboration across functions (inferred requirement given location and role).

Experience

Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology or a closely related discipline; professional certifications in instructional design, training or HR are advantageous.
