Role & Responsibilities
- Support industrial engineering and manufacturing teams with data collection, analysis and reporting to identify process inefficiencies.
- Conduct time studies, workflow mapping and process capability assessments to quantify improvement opportunities.
- Assist in the design and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, standard work documentation and continuous improvement pilots.
- Prepare visual management materials, performance dashboards and presentations for cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to pilot projects—including tooling, line balance and workstation ergonomics—under senior engineer supervision.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong quantitative aptitude with demonstrated coursework or projects in statistics, operations research or process engineering.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodology (Kaizen, 5S, value‑stream mapping).
- Proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and data visualisation tools; familiarity with CAD and manufacturing software is desirable.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present technical findings to multidisciplinary teams.

Experience
Internship-level role; prior academic project work or a campus/industry placement in manufacturing, process improvement, or operations is preferred. No extensive professional experience required.
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
