Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver cross-functional HSE projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality targets are met.
  • Develop, update and implement health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures, policies and technical specifications aligned with corporate standards and local regulation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and technical audits; propose corrective and preventive actions and monitor closure.
  • Coordinate with operations, facilities, procurement and external contractors to integrate HSE requirements into capital projects and site modifications.
  • Manage incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and follow‑up reporting to ensure lessons learned are captured and communicated.
  • Support compliance with relevant legal requirements and ISO standards; prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Design and deliver HSE training, awareness campaigns and toolbox talks for shopfloor and office populations.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for site management and corporate HSE stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Recognised EHS certification such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001/14001 lead auditor or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to translate regulatory and technical requirements into operational controls and project deliverables.
  • Strong project management capability with experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and external contractors.
  • Demonstrable competence in incident investigation methodologies and corrective action management.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels and present technical information clearly.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of hands‑on experience delivering EHS projects in manufacturing, industrial or production environments, including experience with regulatory compliance, risk assessment and implementation of ISO-based management systems.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional EHS certification preferred.
