Richemont seeks a Head of Communications in New York to lead corporate and brand communications, media relations and reputation strategy.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy that protects and advances corporate and maison brand reputation in the US market.
  • Lead media relations, proactive storytelling, and executive positioning across business and lifestyle press, cultivating strong journalist and influencer relationships.
  • Manage corporate communications including internal communications, executive communications, investor/analyst messaging support and cross-maison alignment when required.
  • Direct crisis and reputation management protocols and serve as a key decision-maker during issues and incidents.
  • Oversee digital, social and content strategy in coordination with brand and marketing teams to ensure consistency of tone and messaging.
  • Line-manage and mentor a small communications team; select, brief and manage external agencies and consultants.
  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks, producing regular performance reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage communications budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources across initiatives and activations.

Qualifications

  • Proven senior leadership experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs within luxury, premium consumer goods, fashion, or related sectors.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of high-quality executive-level messaging and speechwriting.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis management and issues preparedness.
  • Strong media network across national and trade press in the US, and experience working with lifestyle and business outlets.
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, legal and corporate teams.
  • Ability to operate strategically while managing day-to-day operational requirements.

Experience

Typically 10+ years of progressive communications experience with a minimum of several years in senior or leadership roles; demonstrated success leading multi-channel campaigns, managing teams and interfacing with C-suite executives within luxury, lifestyle or premium consumer brands.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related discipline; advanced degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
